David H. Millett

Mr. Millett is based in London, England and has responsibility for all parking projects WALCO Parking Systems participates in.

Prior to joining WALCO, David has enjoyed a 48-year career with Metric Group Ltd., a leading manufacturer of parking and access control equipment for On-Street and Off-Street parking.  As Director of Sales and Marketing he has gained experience and developed relationships in Europe, Americas, Canada, Scandinavia, Africa, Middle East, New Zealand, Australia, Eastern Block countries (Latvia, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Moldova), and in the Far East Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China.

From 1964 his Company specialized in the design and manufacturing of equipment systems to control both “on and “off” street parking. This followed his successful first Resident Parking Plan in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London.

His experience in this market place is second to none having knowledge in the total implementation of city/town center parking control plans. From simple surveys, to equipment positioning, to traffic legislation laws to allow enforcement, right through to the back office computerized systems. David had access to the training of Parking Attendants, technicians and office systems staff.

During the 1980’s David was a member of the British Parking Equipment Standards Committee and was one of two British representatives on the European Standards Committee for Parking Equipment.
